At age 74, Gordy ran the race with endurance that God set before him. (Hebrews 12:1) He spent his last days at his home surrounded by family, friends, and his best buddy Rocky.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Johnson; father, Ralph Johnson; brother, Gary Johnson; sister, RaeAnn Bergengren; sister, Gloria Johnson.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Janice Johnson; dog and bestest bud Rocky; daughter, Dawn (Mike) Pavelski; sons, Mark (Aimee) Johnson, Brian (Kim) Johnson; grandchildren, Kelsey Thome, Trevor (Danelle) Cartwright, Carter Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Evan Pavelski, Spencer Pavelski, Gunnar Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kaci Thome, Bentley Cartwright, Knox Thome, Braxton Cartwright; sister, Geraldine (Larry) Haferman; brother, Greg (Wendy) Johnson; cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

Gordon (Gordy) was in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1970 during Vietnam and served on the USS Constellation. Gordy gave his life to the Lord in 1971 with his wife Janice and walked faithfully with the Lord for the rest of his life. Gordy cherished spending time with his family more than anything else.  Gordy loved hunting, fishing, camping, and any activity in the great outdoors. Gordy loved to play cribbage and most card games. He really enjoyed working on and repairing cars and especially buying different cars. He loved working in the yard with his best buddy Rocky along at his side.

He fought the good fight; he has finished the race; he kept the faith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
