Age 85, of Circle Pines.

 

Passed away April 29, 2020.

 

Preceded in death by parents, Ole and Ruby Hestekind of Deer Creek, MN.

 

Jim was a proud Vet who served more than 25 years in the Army National Guard.  Jim also served his community for 10 years as a volunteer Circle Pines Fire Fighter, and was a proud member of the Circe-Lex Lions club.  

 

Survived by wife of 61 years, Virginia; son Mike Hestekind; daughter Dawn (Steve) VandeWalker and his pride and joy, 3 grandchildren Danielle (Chase) Durand, Carter VandeWalker and Reed VandeWalker; many other relatives as well as friends.

 

A small immediate family service was held on April 30, 2020 and a celebration of life will be held at a later date when we can all actually hug.
