Muriel Joan Morin
March 28, 1926 - January 10, 2018
Age 91, passed away at the St. Anthony Park Home on January 10, 2018.
She was born on March 28, 1926, in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harry P. Benson and Myrtle C. (Lanquist) Benson. Muriel married Robert James Morin on June 17, 1950, in Superior, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of East High School in Superior, Wisconsin and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Superior in Superior, Wisconsin. Muriel enjoyed a career teaching elementary education.
Muriel was an active member of Como Park Lutheran Church, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Delta Sigma Delta Sorority.
Muriel was preceded in death by her husband Robert James Morin; father, Harry P. Benson; mother, Myrtle C. (Lanquist) Benson; and sister Arlyne V. Bukovich.
She is survived by her son Robert Morin (Colleen); niece Cathy Jacobson (Alan), niece Mary Schultz (David), niece Melanie Morey (John); nephew Tracy Morin, and nephew Michael Thatcher.
A funeral service will be held at COMO PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1376 W. Hoyt Ave., St. Paul, on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at the church from 10AM Monday until time of service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
